About Us

our approach
We started Duck Duck Green with two basic ideas: that the childcare products we use should be safe- for both our babies and the environment- and that it’s just better to be surrounded by cool looking stuff.
ddg wants to introduce parents to the finest childcare brands in the green market. We started by carefully researching all of the products on the market, choosing to carry only the most forward-looking brands we could find in terms of functionality, environmental ethics, and style. (oh, and our kids loved them too!)
We approach our packaging in the same way, taking care to find reusable or multi-use, environmentally sustainable methods – with a careful eye on style.
Duck Duck Green is committed to making the world a better place for all of our children. A portion of all our sales are donated to 1% for the Planet. So feel good! You and your baby just made a difference.
We hope that you’ll join our community of eco-minded parents!
how we do it
To get things started, our kits have everything moms (or dads) will need to hit the ground running with their newborn- bathing, feeding, changing, healthcare, even clothes. It’s all there.
We also sell a range of trusted individual products from every category. It is our goal to become the one-stop spot for all of your eco-childcare needs.

the chicks behind the ducks:
Duck Duck Green was founded by Maryann Davis & Andrea Stein. Long-time friends and now sisters in-law, Maryann and Andrea were pregnant at the same time with their first children. The news was full of toy-recalls, Bisphenol-A and global warming. They spent hours on the phone comparing notes on products; which were healthier for babies, the environment? They asked an obvious question- why does this have to be so hard? And as lovers of good design, they also wondered, does this stuff have to be so ugly?
With Duck Duck Green, our goal is to help protect children from potentially harmful chemicals, promote great green brands, and make our kids’ world a little greener, a little prettier, and heck, a little friendlier.
